Our Lady of the Lost and Found: A Novel of Mary, Faith, and Friendship
On an otherwise typical Monday morning, a middle-aged writer enters her living room and finds a woman standing by her fig tree. The woman is wearing a blue trench coat, white sneakers, and a white shawl over her hair. She is holding a purse and a suitcase. She is the Virgin Mary-and after 2000 years of petition, adoration, and traveling, she's in need of a little R&R. Invited in for lunch, Mary decides to stay for one week, during which an unlikely friendship develops. As
our narrator learns the remarkable history of one of the most influential and complex women of all time, she is moved to examine life's big questions and her own capacity for faith. Witty and gently ironic, this inventive novel is an inspiration to believers and nonbelievers alike.

BEST DAY EVER. :)
ok, august 7th, 2010.
i went to go see the jonas brothers.
me, my cousin, and her other cousin [my friend] decided to go early so that maybe we could arrive there to be the first people at the line and maybe, possibly, meet the jonas brothers when thier bus comes. we get at the venue around 1:30ish and a guy waiting outside said we cant go in until 4:30 and we're like pissed, so we decided to go to a nearby McDonalds. but since we really didnt know anything about tinley park and where everything is at, [we're
from the south side of chicago] we stopped at a nearby corn field and asked for directions o.o when we got them we went to mcdonalds and we ate and left like at 3:00ish. So we went to the walgreens that was next to it and killed time there. When it was almost 4:00, we were outside, sitting in a bench with my mom, my aunt, and my friends mom. [they tagged along to drop us off, don't ask o.o] and we noticed across the lot that there was a
lady and her two young daughters drawing on their car windows "We love jonas brothers" and stuff. so we wanted to do that, and me and my friend asked the
lady where she bought the paint and she said at walgreens of c
ourse, but she offered us the paint so that we can do
our car windows since she noticed we were going to the concert too. So we did:) we wrote "Honk if you love the jonas brothers", my friend wrote "I ¦ Nick" cause her favorite is nick, "Demi Rocks!" "Peace, Love, Jonas." and " we love DJ Danger, Mc D Love, Mr. President, K2." :D so we gave her back the paint and she told us to have fun. it was past 4 and we left, but when we arrived they STILL didnt let us enter cause it was 4:20. i'm like WTF? only the VIP people were entering. So we decided to drive straight and make a turn and line up until 4:30. And they FINALLY, let us go in. But since we had to pay to enter in car, my friends mom just decided to drop us off at the entrance instead of parking. So we walked and we ended up being the th people in line. The sun was BEAMING hot. which sucked. But good thing we brought water with us. We sat on the floor for about an 1 hour until a
lady comes up to us and said, "I'll give you $10 if you let me and my daughters in front of you" and we're like "Ok." cause we didnt want to be mean and we thought it was her and just 2 daughters or something. but, NO, it was 5 other people. we're like "omfg." and we hoped nobody behind us would get mad, and they didn't. So we kept sitting there, and we talked to the lady and how she went to a BUNCH of concerts like Bon jovi, AeroSmith, and how she would always go with her daughters to the jonas bothes concert everytime they would come here. and she was really nice. time passed and they opened the gates around 6:10ish. We went inside and immediately went for shirt stand to buy
shirts. I bought 2. a demi and jonas one. they were CUTE. but about $35. it was worth it though:) we went to our seats while alyson stoner and some other CR2 people were on stage teaching us dance moves and stuff. So we were excited. They showed small videos of Camp Rock 2 like previews and stuff. Then the show began, alyson, anna maria, and such were singing and dancing. And some members of camp star performed too. Then after that, Demi lovato made an AWESOME entrance by singing "Get back" Her performace was amazing. she sang like 5,6, or 7 songs not including the camp rock ones. After her own songs, she sang with the rest of camp rcok cast and then she left the stage. We were so stoked. They were playing radio disney while we were waiting for the jonas brothers to come out. "Party in the USA" played and almost everybody in the stadium was singing. it was awesome. They played Bounce, and EVERYBODY was singing along to it and dancing. After it ended, the lights turned off and the jonas brothers began their intro and sang "Feelin alive" and everybody freaked. it was pure awesomeness. They sang so many songs
from thier old albums to the Jonas L.A one. Joe did a duet with demi and sang "This is me" and "Wouldnt change a thing." it was so cute, they kept looking at each other<3 they also did another camp rock song, but after that, demi for sure finished:l jonas sang more of thier songs. Nick sang "Who i am" & "introducing me". Introducing me was funy cause joe timed him to sing it under 3 minutes and he managed to do that with 17 seconds to spare [He sang really fast] and nick fell to the floor acting like he was ired x) And one particular song was so adorable cause they played a slideshow of baby pictures and thier young years behind them. I honestly cried during that part. The whole concert was badass. We all sang and danced and had a blast. They ended the show with "Burnin up" and big rob came out and did his part:)
After that, the jonas brothers were bowing [like they normally do]

Thirteen years before the bloody 1994 genocide that swept across Rwanda and left more than a million people dead, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ appeared to eight young people in the remote village of Kibeho. Through these visionaries, Mary and Jesus warned of the looming holocaust, which (they assured) could be averted if Rwandans opened their hearts to God and embraced His love.
Mary also sent messages to government and church leaders to instruct them how to end the ethnic hatred simmering in their country. She warned them that Rwanda would become “a river of blood”—a land of unspeakable carnage—if the hatred of the people was not quickly quelled by love. Some leaders listened, but very few believed. The prophetic and apocalyptic warnings tragically came true during 100 horrifying days of savage bloodletting and mass murder.
Much like what happened at similar sites such as Fatima and Lourdes, the messengers of Kibeho were at first mocked and disbelieved. But as miracle after miracle occurred in the tiny village, tens of thousands of Rwandans journeyed to Kibeho to behold the apparitions. After the genocide, and two decades of rigorous investigation, Our Lady of Kibeho became the first and only Vatican-approved Marian (related to the Virgin Mary) site in all of Africa. But the story still remained largely unknown.
Now, however, Immaculee Ilibagiza has changed all that. She has made many pilgrimages to Kibeho, both before and after the holocaust, has personally witnessed true miracles, and has spoken with a number of the visionaries themselves. What she has discovered will deeply touch your heart!
